OverviewA set (strand 55+ cm) of antique African tradebeads - originally made in Europe
These glass beads were made in Europe (probably in Venice) in the late 1800's-early 1900's and transported to Africa.
They were collected in Nigeria and are known as Gumba, Goomba, Goombah beads.
Great to use in your jewelry, but also great to display (hang a strand on your wall or maybe on an African statue). Will increase in value!
- Size M: about 104 to 110 beads per strand - 6,5 to 8,5 mm across x 4,5 to 6 mm length - beading hole appr. 2 to 3 mm
- Size L: about 80 to 88 beads per strand - approx 7 to over 9 mm across (most are appr. 8 to 8,5 mm) x 5 to 7 mm length - beading hole appr. 2 to 3 mm (some a bit larger)
- Fantastic old porcelain beads in Off White
